YADAH Vitalizing Mask Pack Review

Beauty Review: YADAH Vitalizing Mask Pack

A few weeks ago, I did a friend mail with Rein, she also has a blog and an Instablog (she’s really an awesome blogger & a great momma, so you should check her out!). I am really grateful that she agreed to friend mail with me, because as all of you know, I’m just a newbie blogger, and she’s already up there (wherever up there is hehe)!

Anyway, she sent me a YADAH Vitalizing Mask Pack among others, and I am writing a review about in today’s post, YAY!

As usual, we’ll go through the facts first!

The YADAH Vitalizing Mask Pack is a 100% Cotton Sheet Mask that claims to help improve the skin’s elasticity and appearance. It doesn’t contain Parabens, Fragrances, Ethanols and any Artificial Colorants.

YADAH Vitalizing Mask Pack Instructions
How to Use:

Step 1: After cleansing your face, apply toner to balance your skin’s pH.
Step 2: Apply mask evenly, avoiding your mouth and eye areas.
Step 3: Wait for 20-30mins (brand’s suggested time), or until it dries up.
Step 4: Remove mask and tap skin gently for it to absorb all the leftover essence.

Tips:
From the brand: Use 2-3 times a week to get vivid and clear skin.
From yours truly: Have the mask on for 15-20mins only. I tried putting it on for 20+ mins, and my skin started burning. *yikes*

This is how the sheet masks looks like! It’s not that soft, but it didn’t scrathch my face or anything, so it’s all good hehe 🙂

Review:

First off, let’s talk about its packaging! (Scroll back to photo #1 for reference) I am IN LOVE with the girl on it, because she’s my inner mantra! Haha. The packaging tempted me to try her out first, before anything else from my loot. It was like she was telling me “yes, I know you hate life. Dont worry, I’m here to make it a bit better“, so did she make it better?

Nope, not really. Sad to say, I had a bad experience with this one. Like I said above, I tried putting it on for 20+ mins, but it started burning my skin. After removing the mask and tapping all the essence in, my skin felt amazing, but within 10 mins, I started to get itchy bumps on my forehead. It was sooo weird, because I have never experienced anything like that just by using a mask. I don’t know if I was allergic to an ingredient in the mask, or maybe my hormones are just messing with me (as usual), or something else. Ngh.

My Skin Type: Combination Skin (Sensitive)

Pros:

  • It’s good for elasticity!
  • It gives your skin a smooth and supple texture!

Cons:

  • The huge, itchy bumps I got *cries*

Verdict: 2/5
I like how it made my skin feel supple and smooth, but the bumps I got on my forehead were so intense that I’m too scared to try this mask again. I needed to re-wash my face and re-do my skincare routine to get my skin to calm down.

Note: What didn’t work for me might work for you, and vice versa. We have different skin types, so I can only really speak for myself and (maybe) for those people who share the same skin type with me.

Would I purchase?
Not this particular one. I might try its other variants in the future.

  1. I have to say, I LOVE the fact that you were actually honest about this product not working for you. Despite your review, this looks like something I would actually try once or twice. And I respect you so hard for not making it into a “this product was soooooo amazing” type of post! 🙂

  2. I love the honesty! It’s crazy when you think it’s gonna be so good with all its claims and then your skin reacts to it.. I wonder what ingredients caused that. Thank you for the great review!

  3. Woah! That’s crazy that the mask irritated your skin. I have super sensitive skin as well, so it’s good to know that some masks out there might cause more harm than good. Thanks for your honest review!! I feel like those are hard to find these days.

  5. It’s actually really refreshing to get a genuine honest review of something even though it was sent to you by someone you like. It’s so frustrating when a product sounds amazing but you have issues with it yourself.
